As we gear up for registration, I want to make sure you are aware of some important information regarding 3 important items; the schedule, registration instructions, and class changes.

Registration Schedule:

  • Monday July 1 – Oak Ridge and Montclair
    • Current families: 10 AM and on
    • New families: 2 PM and on
  • Tuesday July 2 – Randolph 
    • Current families: 10 AM and on
    • New families: 2 PM and on
  • Wednesday July 3 – Lafayette  and Somerset 
    • Current families: 10 AM and on
    • New families: 2 PM and on
  • Wednesday July 10 Staten Island   
    • All: 1 PM

Registration Instructions:

This is important, so please read.  Navigating the Faith Center Home School registration program can seem a little treacherous.  We want to make sure you receive your home school discount.  Pirate Maestro and his ship “Registration” will guide you along the way.  Please click here to start your journey.

Please remember there is some schedule  flexibility with instrumental group lessons. However, It is very difficult to move the other classes after registration starts. 

If a class is full please add yourself to “waitlist”  once we see the registration trends we will be able to open additional classes.  If you have any difficulties email us

Class Changes

  • Developing the Artist as Teacher
    •  This class is designed for the student who is interested in teaching (private lessons to younger students). Students will learn how to choose curriculum, design lesson plans, and develop teaching techniques and strategies. They will learn what it is to teach to an objective with measurable outcomes for student assessment at different age levels and abilities and will be given the opportunity to put into practice what they have learned, in the Faith Center setting.
    • Students must be 15 years of age and have had at least 4 years of participation in Faith Center for the Arts, or a recommendation from one of their Faith Center teachers. This is part of Faith Centers newly established mentoring program.
    • The first six weeks of this class will be offered on Tuesday afternoon at the Randolph campus.  The six weeks of mentoring can take place at any Faith Center location
  • Piano lab
    • Piano labs have been redesigned.  There are two levels of piano for students 7-10.  Students who successfully complete level two are encouraged to study a Band or Orchestra instrument.
    • Private and Semi-Private lessons will be available for students who would like to continue their study of piano.
    • “Class Piano for Worship” will be offered to students 12+. Students will learn all the major and minor keys and learn how to create piano parts from lead sheets.
  • Moms of Faith in Montclair
    • A choral experience designed specifically for Faith Center Moms and led by Miss Chloe Nevill.
  • Moms Dance
    • This class will continue in Somerset
  • Photography DEED
    • This class will continue to be offered in Somerset.  Students will be able to receive three college credits upon successful completion of the course.
  • Music Theory DEED
    • This new class will be offered at our Randolph and Somerset locations.  Students should sign up for Theory 1.  Deed registration will be available for the Spring 2020 term.
  • Photography and Portfolio
    • Classes are available in Somerset and Randolph, Please check the course description for further information.
  • Mrs. Stansfield’s 3/D Water Color Class in Lafayette
    • This class has all new projects for the upcoming school year
  • Comic drawing students
    • Will be studying Comics in the Manga style
  • The Symphonic Band in Somerset
    • Has been split into two groups. Symphonic Band is for second, third, and 4th year players.  Coda Symphonic Band is for students who are in the Coda and Allegro levels.
  • Our musical theater line up this year
    • Fall Musical in Somerset
    • Junior High Spring Musical  – location TBA
    • Senior High Spring Musical in Randolph
  • Festivals and Concerts will include:
    • Band and Orchestra Festival
    • Fine Arts Night
    • Dance Recital
    • Coda Drama performance
  • Additional classes:
    • Many of you have been asking for some additional classes in coding, website deign, sewing, cooking, ballroom dancing, and a few other topics.  I would like to make those courses available in 10 week increments as part of our “Studio Program.”  If you are aware of any talented individuals who would be willing to work with us in the creation of these opportunities please let me know.
